Its interesting how the American west was won...better yet how it was created by the brave pioneers moving west from the east after the civil war.  Entrepenuers, farmers, cattle owners, rail road companies, taking the risk against our native americans in ownership for land and freedom...CAN WE do the same in Afghanistan...a rogue nation trying desperately to rebuild itself by embracing the western economic culture...food, movies, cars, freeways, shopping malls, sports, sport arenas, colliseums, concerts, airports, international airports, race car events, food, dining, hotels, and our technology....can foreign and american contractors, companies take the plunge and risk the pioneering concept of building in the new "WEST"...Southwest asia?  if i had the capacity financially, the support to start something new that can both benefit the local populace, and businesses globally...i will do it....so what product or resources does Afghanistan have to make business work?  no different than what the west in our country offered to our great gran folks back in the western days....LAND... 

Where there is land, there is room for economic growth from schools, rail roads, cars, small shops - to malls, public works - to economic facilities...hence the development of townships to cities to states....100 years in the making right?  WRONG...it would take half as much with today's technology and political intrigue and affluence...

Show me the money and I'll show you the opportunity....the U.S. did it in the Philippines successfully after 1902,  and in other countries as well...so, we sure can do it now....easier said than done...of course, we just need to execute...but we won't be slaughtering or relocating the locals this time...

The key to starting a business is finding a product that consumers would want that is cheap....the biggest consumer right now is the military...currently, the military is focusing on technology on how it can incorporate vehicles that will use less fuel, has more power for speed and torque, and can cover a good distance...this year, many automotive company's have been focusing on hybrid, electric vehicles that can sustain power and distance....the biggest logistic obstacle for the military on operations is managing fuel for vehicles in land, sea, and air....if I were an entrepenuer, had the funding to research and develop military vehicles that can sustain power, distance, and a bullet proof chasis - this is the route that I would take...sell this idea, technology to the military and maintain to create future weapons, vehicles for future soldiers....sounds like a comic book, but did you know how the UAV was created?  think about it...the biggest problem is driving and worrying about running out of gas...if we can create vehicles using electric power and recharging its fuel battery cells through solar technology...why not?  If you are reading this...and have the funding to invest on this idea...let me know...cuz I would like to lead this idea into reality....we have the top minds in the U.S. in technology, engineering, automotive, weapons, sattelite, communications, etc.., resources to build the hardware globally, it's just a matter of collectively taking them together and creating the perfect prototype....hehehe...easier said than done...but money talks, and it gets things done with passion and motivation....well this is it for some smart biz ideas...after all, there is never 2 much icing on the cake when we dream big in business....

Fort Benning Georgia...wow...OCS...awesome...this place rocks...OCS is a great institution to learn everything you need to become an Army Officer...the leadership, organization, and management skills that are ingrained into your memory box is designed to lead soldiers into combat, humanitarian or peacetime missions....I am attending OCS...and I am very fortunate to learn from the best of the best...the Cadre's (instructors - Officers, and non commissioned officers) are professional and incredibly knowledgeable on what candidates need to know in becoming one of the Army's best officers...West Point Graduates are stellar no doubt both physically and mentally...OCS graduates are designed to maintain that high level of discipline to assimilate and live the Army Values of an Officer....

The Training is excellent...the physical obstacles for candidates to negotiate are not impossible but requires you as an individual to face your fears, and anxieties and complete the tasks...the academia are all related to what is expected from Army Officers to develop....the only challenge that I have is the eating part...whenever we eat...for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...we have no more than 3 minutes...literally...if we are lucky, 5 minutes....otherwise pay the man and suffer the consequences....

You have to be in the right frame of mind and physique for OCS...it is something not to take likely, it isn't impossible to complete the 14 weeks of training, but you must have a positive mental attitude, and be physically ready...being in average shape will keep you in your toes, but in stellar physical condition...you will not find anything difficult to achieve...out of shape would be candidates are phased out immediately on the second day of OCS...all candidates before being accepted in a class must pass the Army's Physical Fitness Test conducted around 4 am depending on the Cadre....its ez if you're prepared...my weakness is running...but i can sustain without any problem....for 40 years old...i am proud to be in the Army's OCS....

What does this have to do with smart biz ideas...nothing and everything...any boot camp in the military especially high level leadership training can be very useful for those that need ideas, discipline, organization, management skills and ingenuity....there are lots of business bootcamps out there and i truly suggest you pursue one...you don't have to do what I am doing because my cause is for personal, and professional development....so look for one and then do it...stop thinking about it....

4.  when you refi your property at least 3 times during the life of the loan...the first time should be for home improvement...because the biggest mistake homeowners make is remodeling their home when they are selling it...why not remodel and live in it before you sell it....2nd time to refi should be for consolidation of your debts or your childs college loans....the third refi should be a new home...rent your existing home for another 10+ years then sell it...or repeat the refi process..
***now, #4 advice is just the generic financial planning...My personal and professional advice...everytime you refinance your property, it should be for buying another property...you upgrade to a larger/newer home with a larger property....this way you constantly increase your profit when you decide later in selling all your investments...call me or email me if you want to talk more on specifics...
5.  finally, always check the status of the real estate market...rule of thumb: A) if the market is hot..there is value....a sellers market...and you are over 65 years old, a multiple property owner...sell all your homes/properties and get all that money for your retirement except one....why? because if you don't and the market/economy is bad...how long can you wait to enjoy your investment for your retirement?  when your eighty?  B) if your young and have money to dispose off...buy property(s) when the market is bad....your banking your investment when the market picks up 10+ years from the time of purchase...like stocks, you buy cheap, sell high...
